Insurer with an excellent reputation for looking after their staff $100K base neg plus incentives plus car Work from home or from the office Reputable well established insurer is expanding into the Canberra market and is looking for an underwriter or broker to run the portfolio. They currently handle their Canberra business from Sydney but the amount of business being generated means they need to base someone in Canberra. You will be servicing an existing book of business as well as using your own contacts within the broking market in Canberra to grow the book of SME and commercial clients. Your role will see you visiting brokers for the bulk of your week and servicing the accounts the rest of the time. You will ideally have 5 years plus commercial insurance experience either as an underwriter or broker and have either previous business development / BDM experience or a natural flair for building relationships. It is advantageous if you are already based in Canberra and have a network there. Insurance professionals who are based elsewhere and wish to relocate to Canberra will also be considered. You will receive excellent support from a strong and supportive State Manager and have a solid portfolio to begin with. The opportunity to work from home the entire time (when you're not on the road visiting brokers) is genuine, or if you prefer, you could work from a city based premises within Canberra.
