Our prestigious client is seeking a Production Shift Manager for their purpose built facility based on the outskirts of Brisbane. This position is not for an average performer - it offers daily variety, technical challenges and the scope to make a direct and expected contribution to the company’s performance.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role has the accountabilities to: To manage and improve the manufacturing activities of the production area and team (40 staff) Ensure reliable supply of products in accordance with the production plan while meeting all safety health environment and company cost objectives To co-ordinate all aspects of continual improvement activities focusing on quality, safety, health, environment, and output You will be a successful and proven manufacturing Professional and previously have worked in a high volume and fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably food. The role has a number of direct reports and is a hands-on management role. Although the role is supported by other members of the senior management team it is an autonomous role and it will be expected that the right person will be able to ‘hit the ground running’ and welcome this challenge. The role is to manage the permanent afternoon shift on a 24/5 cycle. A working knowledge of ISO standards and HACCP is essential. They are looking for a motivational ‘people person’ to build team performance, skills and cohesion.
KEY SKILLS:
