Permanent full time Northern Territories Our client, one of Australia's leading insurers ! Has an exciting opportunity for an experienced underwriter to join them! If you have experience in underwriting and processing of workers' compensation business and are waiting on an opportunity to work in diverse role? Then this is the opportunity for you! Your duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: Responsible for underwriting and processing of Workers' Compensation new and renewal business Operating within specific risk guidelines Evaluating policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines Ensuring that premiums collected correlate with the risk underwritten Referring risks outside underwriting authorities Firm understanding of new policy processes, renewals and adjustments An above average client interface and due diligence ensuring accountable contribution to the achievement of renewal retention, new business, and profitability targets. It is important to have a passionate interest in and understanding of the key parameters and decisional factors in the effective management of risk and underwriting. Through actively knowing your competitors and changes in the market you will be able to give proactive feedback and input in these matters. It is important to understand the significance of completing processing problems on any policy before payment is due ensuring our client obtain payment of accounts within policy credit terms. To be successful in this role you will need a minimum of 2 years underwriting experience and have a strong exposure to workers' compensation/general insurance . You must have the right attitude displaying a team focus, taking responsibility for resolving customer issues, seeking facts before making decisions. Being an affiliated member of ANZIIF or advancement towards a tertiary business qualification will be an advantage.
