About the Organisation Marthakal Homeland Resource Centre ( MHRC ) is responsible for the provision of services and the economic and social development of 29 homelands spread across an area of over 15,000 square kilometres in North East Arnhem Land. About the Opportunity Marthakal Homeland Resource Centre has a unique full time opportunity for a strategic and 'big picture' focused Chief Executive Officer to lead its operations on Elcho Island, NT. This role offers the opportunity for a high level leader with strong business acumen to drive the overall strategic and operational direction of a growing indigenous business. Modelling a real 'people focus' approach to your role, you'll be overseeing and guiding the management of the organisation's three primary divisions : Not-for-profit Marthakal Homeland Resource Centre , delivering government-funded services to the Homelands; Marthakal Business Enterprises , which is the for-profit division that operates the business entities within the Galiwinku community; and Marthakal Yolngu Air , the operator of Galiwin'ku Airport and associated flights. You will have either a tertiary qualification in Business & Administration OR a demonstrated record of achievement at an executive level in a similar organisation. While experience in an Aboriginal Corporation would be beneficial, it is not compulsory.
