In your resume you will be able to demonstrate the following track record of success in these areas; • Minimum 8-10 years industry experience in process control and instrumentation either within an operating organisation, engineering contractor or vendor, with specific exposure to commissioning of new or upgraded plant. • 2 years experience as a lead engineer/supervisor is desirable • Experience in design and troubleshooting of control schemes for basic hydrocarbon processes, preferably including fractionation trains, is required. • Familiarity with surge control is required. Experience with CCC controls systems would be desirable. • Knowledge of field instrumentation including design characteristics and limitations, calibration and maintenance. Equipment includes smart transmitters, analysers, flow meters, fire and gas instruments, vibration transducers, control valves etc. • Experience in specifying and managing fiscal metering systems and a working knowledge of metering codes and standards is required. • Experience in implementation of upgrade projects with specific exposure to change control procedures. • Experience in working with database systems for managing instrumentation installation and hook-up is desirable. Specifically experience in use of E&I Systems ‘DAD’ software or Intergraph’s Intools suite would be desirable. • Knowledge and experience in working with Instrumented Protective Function life cycle requirements and specifically SIL studies is required. • Knowledge and experience in specifying electrical/instrument equipment for use within hazardous areas and a working knowledge of the AS2381, AS60079 and AS2430 series of standards is desirable. The qualifications and competencies which are essential to this position are: • Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation/Controls/Electrical) or equivalent relevant qualification • Characteristics and competencies that demonstrate behavioural compliance with the company’s values • Knowledge of functional safety systems codes and standards • Knowledge of metering codes and standards • Knowledge of EEHA codes and standards as well as a working knowledge of AS3000. • Understanding of process control fundamentals and advanced control concepts • Practical knowledge of industrial PLC programming languages • Detailed knowledge of application and operation of instrumentation found in oil and gas processing facilities including smart transmitters, analysers, flow meters, fire and gas instruments, vibration transducer etc. • Technical analysis and fault finding • Knowledge of technical incident investigations and root cause analysis • Good communication skills, both verbal and written • Self motivated and adaptable • Ability to work in a team environment It would be highly regarded if you have chartered engineering status and a Cert IV in Electrotechnology Explosion Protection.
