This challenging role will lead development, deployment and life cycle management of digital video network control systems. Primarily servicing Telstra's broadcast customers, it will increasingly serve internal business needs as Telstra incorporates more media workflows.
This role is critical to the development of technology roadmaps, and the dependant interaction with product and vendor roadmaps. To be successful you will communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers, managing expectations and keeping all involved parties informed.
As the subject matter expert in highly complex enterprise grade software environments, you will work on projects of significant financial impact to Telstra and on customers live business critical digital video networks.
It will be highly preferred that you have Vendor trained in one or more video workflow management systems, as well as relevant work experience with television broadcast or video related industry. Experience with file transfer acceleration techniques and products will also be considered favourably.
Telstra's Digital Video Network (DVN) is a nationwide purpose built network which carries professional broadcast video between our customers' studio sites, sporting grounds and production facilities. All broadcast video seen on television in Australia will have at some time transited the DVN. This network is critical to our customers operations and its' reliability is of paramount importance to both their business and Telstra's.
