Reporting to the Head of School, Electrical and Computer Engineering, you will contribute to the teaching activities by working collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics to deliver courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Where appropriate, participation in a program of personal research that contributes to the School's research activities will be encouraged.
Key accountabilities will include:
Delivering lectures, tutorials, and laboratories using innovative, flexible and stimulating course material and technologies for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs.
Carry out academic administration to perform the full academic responsibilities of, and related administration for, the coordination of an award program, year or course.
Participating in the School's academic Committees and Forums as required and liaising with relevant academic sectors within the University on student matters and for cross-disciplinary collaboration in teaching or research as necessary.
In order to be considered for this position, you must possess a PhD in a relevant field as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will be engaged within the Research Collaborations and Partnerships team to support the implementation, coordination and management of the "Platform Technologies for Space, Atmosphere and Climate" project under the Australian Government's $40 million Australia Space Research Program. The three year, $8m project lead by the Satellite Positioning for Atmosphere, Climate and Environment (SPACE) at RMIT University consists of RMIT University, Curtin University of Technology, the University of NSW and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology amongst others.
The Senior Project Officer will also work closely with other Project Managers to support research activities including RMIT's involvement in Cooperative Research Centres. This will include taking a leadership role in the project management of research bids, including management of budget and resources, grant applications and industry partnerships.

This well respected industry leader who is based on St Kilda road is looking for an experienced payroll person with in-depth knowledge of payroll systems and will be able to audit the existing payroll process and ensure the internal controls are strong and up-to-date with recent developments. The current system in place is Pay Global. but you will not need to know this system as you are only reviewing their policies. 80% of their expense is in their payroll department. This is a two week assignment paying $35 per hour plus superannuation.
Reporting to the finance manager your duties will include:
Reviewing documentation on payroll procedures
Reviewing processes surrounding time sheet capture, data input and verification processes
Reviewing, assessing and testing payroll approval processes, including authorisation processes for adding new employees, ensuring terms and conditions are correct and changing details for existing employees
Reviewing source documentation
Confirming existence of employees
Reviewing payroll reconciliations
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding and at least 4+ years experience within a payroll environment. Having previous experience with a complex payroll system, you will need to demonstrate excellent computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. An ability to work autonomously is a must along with excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with various contacts related to the payroll system on a regular basis.
